Peter Norris

I'm Peter Norris, the Managing Director at Opes Mortgages, a mortgage advisory firm fully owned by Opes Partners. With over a decade of experience in the industry, I've dedicated my career to helping investors and home buyers secure financing for their properties.

My journey began with five years at BNZ, where I worked my way up from a teller to a branch manager. I later co-founded my own business, which merged with Squirrel, where I continued to excel as a mortgage adviser and eventually became Managing Director for almost five years.

In addition to my advisory work, I'm also a frequent writer for Informed Investor Magazine, and I've contributed to Property Investor Magazine. Throughout my career, I've concentrated on property investment, having facilitated over $1.2 billion in lending for more than 2000 clients. I hold a Financial Advice level 5 certification and have received accolades, including BNZ Mortgage Adviser of the Year in 2018 and recognition as one of NZ Adviser's top advisers in 2022.
